upcoming 2026 benefit year..

During Open Season, you can:

  • Enroll in the NALC High Option Plan or Consumer Driven Health Plan (CDHP)
  • Switch between High Option and CDHP
  • Update your enrollment type: Self Only, Self Plus One, or Self and Family
  • Add or remove eligible dependents

Open Season is the yearly period when USPS employees and retirees can review, change, or enroll in a NALC Health Benefit Plan under the Postal Service Health Benefits (PSHB) Program for the next year.

Both active USPS employees and retirees can enroll, switch between plans, or update dependents during Open Season.

If you miss the deadline, you’ll usually have to wait until the next Open Season unless you experience a qualifying life event (like marriage, birth, or retirement).

Yes. During Open Season, you can move from one NALC plan type to another, based on what best fits your health and financial needs.

You can enroll online through the PSHB System at health-benefits.opm.gov/pshb or by calling 844-451-1261. Use your NALC plan enrollment code from the page when signing up.
